WebJet applies for permission to go Public.

 

WebJet officially applied to CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários), the Brazilian securities commission, for permission to be negotiated publicly. The air carrier currently covers 16 Brazilian airports offering 43 routes through 154 daily domestic flights.

 

WebJet also reported having carried approximately five million passengers in 2010, up 82% over 2009. Current fleet accounts 23 Boeing 737-300 aircraft configured with 148 seats. For 2011 WebJet plans to add seven more Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

 

The airline also reported an operating revenue for 2008 was of $ 256.4 million compared with $ 763.5 million for 2010.
