Regent Airways Bangladesh launches its domestic flights, powered by Travel Technology Interactive’s Aeropack NG Full Connect system.
SINGAPORE, 30 November 2010 - Regent Airways, a start-up airline in Bangladesh, commenced operations with Travel Technology Interactive’s (TTI) Aeropack NG airline management system on 22 November. Aeropack NG, a web-based, end-to-end solution allows Regent Airways to cost-effectively manage their inventory, schedules, fares, reservations and departure control operations.
Regent Airways has opted for the Full Connect platform, which gives them the ability to expand their distribution strategy to include GDS distribution channels, and strengthen partner airline alliances with codeshare and interline capabilities.
“Travel Technology Interactive is in a very unique position; our solutions are cost effective, comprehensive and they give small to medium sized airlines the option to extend their reach with full GDS connectivity with BSP settlement capabilities” said Gregoire Echalier, Managing Director, Travel Technology Interactive. “In addition, our customers can expect our solution to evolve and improve as development requests come in from our network of 40 airline customers globally. That’s how we believe we should grow with our customers.”
Regent Airways (HG Aviation Limited) is a fully-owned subsidiary of Habib Group – a Chittagong-based conglomerate in business since 1947. As a start-up airline, Regent Airways is setting standards never seen before in the local industry – starting from extensive infrastructural capabilities and modern fleet of aircraft to world-class training of its staff and adoption of highest safety standards.
“We are also making uncompromised commitments to ensure delivery of world-class services: our reservation and ticketing system is empowered by Aeropack NG from Travel Technology Interactive, a provider of IATA standard e-ticketing solutions” said Mashruf Habib, Managing Director, Regent Airways.
This announcement comes as Travel Technology Interactive Group just expanded its presence in Asia Pacific with a regional office in Singapore, staffed with sales, account management, technical and helpdesk functions to support their airline customers in the region. Regent Airways is among the first three airline customers in Asia Pacific, with whom Travel Technology Interactive had signed long term contracts.
